In the Kawangware district of Nairobi, Rwandan refugee Dieudonne can now use his artistic talents to provide for his young family.
He makes gift bags and cards and screen prints his own artwork after learning skills on a Caritas Kenya project focused on using creativity entrepreneurially.
Dieudonne says producing cards for his church helped him get to know people and to be accepted. “I am glad to share messages of goodness using my art,” he says.
