Caritas supporters in Saskatchewan celebrated the transforming of a beautiful painting into a banner whose plaited ribbons symbolised the “culture of encounter”.
Ecuadoran artist Cesar Ayala gladly gave his permission for the young advocates to campaign using his work.
“After experiencing the power of art in the vision and dialogue created by taking the banner out, we will continue using artistic activism,” said Development and Peace Caritas Canada.
